After a few weeks of driving it, I just noticed this morning a loud rattling from the engine bay upon cold startup. Had the oil changed for some petronas 5W30 merc spec and a Mann oil filter at my local independendent today. I changed the oil. While not a defect, the noise can sometimes be reduced to a customers satisfaction. What is rattling inside the engine? (It is definitely coming from inside the engine). 5L 4-cylinder 1NZ-FXE is more prone to misfires and a check engine light after an oil change, especially if the oil level is overfull or the wrong weight oil is used.
